Bakewell Cream Biscuits Recipe
- 4 c. Flour
- 4 tsp Bakewell Cream *
- 1 tsp Salt, ( may be omitted )
- 2 tsp Baking soda
- 1 3/4 c. Lowfat milk
- 1/2 c. Mayonaise
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
- Mix and sift dry ingredients together.
- Add in lowfat milk and mayonaise ; mix.
- Turn onto a floured board; knead 5 or possibly 6 times.
- Cut with biscuit cutter.
- Bake 10 min, then lower the heat to 325 degrees till biscuits are golden brown.
- HINT: You can turn off the oven after 10 min; the biscuits will brown.
- * If in an area where Bakewell Cream is not available, order by mail
