Sausage Potato Chowder Recipe

  1. Cut sausage into 1/2 inch pcs.
  2. Reserve.
  3. Heat butter in Dutch oven.
  4. Saute/fry onion and celery till onion is transparent.
  5. Add in potatoes and chicken broth; bring to a boil.
  6. Cover, reduce heat to simmer.
  7. Cook 15-20 min or possibly till potatoes are tender.
  8. In small bowl, combine soup and lowfat sour cream.
  9. Blend well.
  10. Add in to chowder mix with lowfat milk, parsley and sausage pcs.
  11. Heat to serving temperature; don't boil.
  12. Serve warm with lemon slice on top of each bowl.
  13. Serve with coarsely grnd pepper to taste.
