Portuguese Holiday Bread Recipe
- 5 lbs. flour
- 2 doz. Large eggs
- 3 bars of butter, melted
- 2 ounce. of extra virgin olive oil, heated with butter
- 1 sq. of yeast
- 1 spoon baking pwdr
- Beat Large eggs, mix flour, slowly add in butter and oil.
- Heat yeast in hot water and add in to flour mix.
- Set aside to rise for 1 hour.
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Break apart into equal loaves and fold together.
- Add in meat (sausage or possibly bacon), optional or possibly plain and form into loaves.
- Bake for 30 to 45 min till golden.
