Custard Bread Pudding Recipe
- 1 quart. lowfat milk, scalded
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 3 Large eggs
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 2-3 c. bread cubes
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 3 tbsp. butter, melted
- Raisins, optional
- Preheat oven at 350 degrees.
- Pour lowfat milk over bread cubes.
- Add in sugar and salt.
- Beat Large eggs.
- Add in to bread mix.
- Add in melted butter and vanilla.
- Mix well.
- Add in raisins.
- Pour into 1 qt casserole.
- Set casserole in pan with warm water.
- Fill so which water is 1 inch from the top.
- Sprinkle with nutmeg.
- Bake 50 min to 60 min or possibly till knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
