Rainbow Grill Bran Muffins
- 1 cup Crisco
- 2 cups boiling water
- 4 eggs
- 2-1/2 to 3 cup sugar
- 3 tsp. salt
- 5 cups white flour
- 1 box Bran Buds
- 1-2/3 tbsp. soda
- 1 qt. buttermilk
- Melt Crisco in water and bring to boil, then let cool.
- In 3 qt.
- bowl mix the eggs, sugar and salt until light and fluffy.
- When the shortening mixture is cool, add to the egg mixture.
- Blend in flour slowly.
- Add Bran Buds slowly, by hand.
- Mix soda and buttermilk.
- Wait until the milk has risen, then pour into the flour mixture.
- Mix slowly by hand.
- Cover tightly and store in refrigerator overnight.
- Bake at 350F for 30-35 minutes.
