Glazed Apple Rings Recipe
- 1/4 c. butter
- 4 apples, cored and cut into 1/2 inch rings
- 1/4 c. dry white wine or possibly apple juice
- 1 tbsp. lemon juice
- 1/4 teaspoon grnd ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon grnd cinnamon
- 1/2 c. sugar
- Heat butter in 10 inch skillet over medium heat till melted.
- Fry several apple rings at a time, turning once, till golden (add in more butter if necessary).
- Return all apple rings to skillet.
- Mix wine, lemon juice, ginger and cinnamon, pour over apples.
- Sprinkle with sugar.
- Cover and cook over medium heat just till apples are tender and glazed, about 5 min.
- Serve hot and, if you like, with whipped topping.
