24 Hour Salad Recipe
- 2 x Large eggs, well beaten
- 1/4 c. Freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 2 Tbsp. Sugar
- 1 dsh Salt
- 3 Tbsp. Butter or possibly margarine
- 1 c. Heavy cream, whipped
- 2 c. Miniature marshmallows
- 2 c. Diced pineapple, liquid removed
- 2 c. Pitted white cherries, liquid removed
- 1/2 c. Diced oranges
- 1 c. Halved and seeded grapes
- 1/4 c. Minced blanched almonds
- Combine Large eggs, lemon juice, sugar, and salt and cook over low heat till thick.
- Add in butter and cold.
- Fold cream into cooled mix.
- Combine this mix lightly with marshmallows, well liquid removed fruits, and nuts.
- Refrigerate24 hrs so the delicate flavors will blend.
- Yield: 12 servings.
