MBC Spicy Turkey Burgers

  1. If you want this to be more tasty prepare ingredients the night before or the morning of -- then make patties when ready!
  2. Mix ground turkey, 1/2 cup salsa, shallots, cilantro, 3 tablespoons oil, hot sauce, cumin, salt, and pepper in large bowl.
  3. Shape turkey mixture into four 3 1/2- to 4-inch-diameter patties.
  4. Heat 1 tablespoon oil in large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat.
  5. Add burgers; cook until brown, about 3 minutes per side.
  6. Reduce heat to low.
  7. Saute until burgers are cooked through, about 4 minutes, turning occasionally.
  8. HINT: If you grill them make sure you use grilling non stick spray.
  9. heat on low.
  10. I think pan fry is recomended.
  11. I used green lettuce instead of buns.
  12. OPTIONAL: Arrange roll bottoms on 4 plates.
  13. Place lettuce, then burgers on roll bottoms.
  14. Top each burger with 2 tablespoons of remaining salsa, then roll tops.
