Beer Can Chicken
- 3 12 lbs chicken
- 14 cup olive oil
- 2 teaspoons coarse salt
- 1 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
- 1 (12 ounce) canof any brand beer
- 14 teaspoon fresh rosemary, finely chopped
- 14 teaspoon fresh thyme, finely chopped
- 14 teaspoon fresh marjoram, finely chopped
- Prepare grill.
- rinse chicken with cool water,.
- pat dry.
- rubskin with olive oil.sprinkle salt, pepper and herbs inside & out.
- open can of beer, pour out one ounce.
- add more herds to can of beer.
- slide chicken over can on beer .stand can on a small baking sheet.
- place baking sheet on grill rack.
- close grill and cook until juices run clear and chicken is done, about one hour.
- the internal temperture should be about 165 .deg f. serve 4.
