Beef & Biscuit Casserole
- 1 14 lbs ground round
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 12 cup onion, chopped
- 1 (7 1/2 ounce) can refrigerated biscuits, Buttermilk
- 14 cup diced green chilies or 14 cup green pepper
- 1 12 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
- 12 cup sour cream
- 2 teaspoons chili powder
- 1 egg, slightly beaten
- salt & pepper
- Brown ground beef, onions, garlic & peppers; drain.
- Stir in tomato sauce, chili powder, salt & pepper.
- Simmer while preparing dough.
- Separate biscuits and pull apart into 2 layers.
- Press 10 biscuits into bottom of 8" or 9" square pan.
- Combine 1/2 cup of cheese, sour cream & egg and mix well.
- Stir in ground beef and spoon over biscuits.
- Place remaining biscuits on top and sprinkle with remaining cheese.
- Bake @ 250F for 25 to 30 minutes or until biscuits are golden brown.
