Spicy Texas Barbecue Sauce

  1. Melt butter in medium saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Add garlic; stir 30 seconds.
  3. Stir in ketchup and all remaining ingredients.
  4. Bring to boil.
  5. Reduce heat to medium-low; simmer until reduced to 1 1/3 cups, stirring occasionally, about 15 minutes.
  6. Season with salt and pepper.
  7. do ahead Can be made 1 week ahead.
  8. Cool slightly, cover, and chill.
