Barbecued Cabbage Recipe
- 1 med. cabbage
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire
- 1/2 c. catsup
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 c. water
- 8 strips bacon
- 1 tbsp. vinegar
- 1 tbsp. brown sugar
- Saute/fry bacon till crisp.
- Drain.
- Crumble and set aside.
- Remove all but 3 tsp.
- bacon drippings from skillet.
- Add in catsup, vinegar, water, Worcestershire sauce, salt and brown sugar.
- Simmer 5 min.
- Meanwhile, cut cabbage into serving size wedges.
- Cook in small amount of boiling water till tender crisp.
- Drain well.
- Place on serving platter and pour sauce over each wedge.
- Garnish with crumbled bacon.
- Yields 4 servings.
