Easy Roast Beef Made in a Frying Pan

  1. Season the meat with salt and pepper.
  2. Slice the ginger and garlic.
  3. Lightly coat a pan with oil.
  4. Brown the meat over high heat.
  5. Add the sliced garlic and ginger.
  6. Cook until aromatic.
  7. Add the remaining seasonings (soy sauce, mirin, sake).
  8. When the liquid begins to simmer, turn off the heat and cover the pan with a lid.
  9. Let it rest for 1 hour under residual heat (if using a shallow pan, turn the meat around occasionally.
  10. Slice the finished roast beef.
  11. If you thicken the remaining juice, it'll makes a nice sauce.
