Easy Roast Beef Made in a Frying Pan
- 500 grams A block of beef
- 2 clove Garlic
- 2 thumbs Ginger
- 200 ml Water
- 100 ml Soy sauce
- 50 ml Mirin
- 50 ml Red wine (or sake)
- 1 Salt and pepper
- Season the meat with salt and pepper.
- Slice the ginger and garlic.
- Lightly coat a pan with oil.
- Brown the meat over high heat.
- Add the sliced garlic and ginger.
- Cook until aromatic.
- Add the remaining seasonings (soy sauce, mirin, sake).
- When the liquid begins to simmer, turn off the heat and cover the pan with a lid.
- Let it rest for 1 hour under residual heat (if using a shallow pan, turn the meat around occasionally.
- Slice the finished roast beef.
- If you thicken the remaining juice, it'll makes a nice sauce.
