Cinnamon Rolls
- 1 1/2 cup whole milk
- 2 envelope fast acting yeast
- 1/2 cup softened butter
- 5 cup A/P flour
- 1/2 cup cane sugar
- 1 1/2 tbsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 cup light brown sugar
- 1 cup softened butter
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 tbsp cinnamon
- preheat milk to 115F, then wisk in yeast.
- add butter once yeast is active.
- combine all dry ingredients, then add slowly to mixer on low speed until all items form a smooth dough.
- cover with a towel, and set aside in a warm place for an 1 1/2hrs
- combine filling, and mix into a smooth paste.
- roll dough out on a flowered surface (do not fold dough)
- spread paste in a smooth even layer on dough and remainder in 2 9x13 baking pans
- preheat oven at 400F
- roll dough into pinwheels adding flour as needed.
- stretch into even log.
- cut into 1" sections and place evenly into baking pans.
- ( makes 24 )
- bake for 17-20 min at 400
- should be a light golden brown
- flip over on wax paper
