XXX Salsa

  1. In a large saucepan over medium-low heat, mix together all ingredients except tomato paste.
  2. Heat until bubbling, then reduce heat to low and simmer for 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
  3. Add tomato paste for added body and thickness until desired consistency is reached.
  4. Continue cooking until well combined.
  5. Cool, then pour into jars.
  6. Refrigerate, or "can" salsa in a hot water bath for 15 mins.
