Copy Cat A&W Root Beer

• 1 cup corn syrup
• 1 cup very hot water
• 1 1/3 cup sugar
• 1 tsp McCormick root beer extract
• 10 cup cold soda water

1. Dissolve the sugar in the hot water in a pitcher.
2. Add the corn syrup and root beer extract and stir well.
3. Cover and chill syrup until cold.
4. When the syrup is cold, pour 1/4 cup syrup into 1 cup of cold soda water.
5. Stir gently, add ice, and serve.
