Fatoush Salad
- 1 bunch Romaine lettuce
- 3 lg. red tomatoes
- 1 lg. red onion
- 2 cucumbers
- 4 radishes
- 2 loaves pita
- Syrian flat bread.
- 1 dash salt
- 1 dash black pepper
- 2 tsp. sumac mild spice
- 2 fresh lemons
- 3 tbsp. olive oil
- Chop all vegetables ingredients into small cubes or squares.
- Place them into a mixing salad bowl.
- Cut the pita bread into squares place them on a baking sheet tray.
- Bake until golden brown in 300F oven.
- Set aside to cool.
- Add pita to the ingredient bowl.
- Squeeze lemon juice into bowl.
- Add salt and pepper to taste.
- Finally add sumac and olive oil; mix gently.
- Serve immediately.
