Tostada Pizza Recipe
- 1 tbsp. yellow cornmeal
- 1 3/4 c. flour
- 2 tbsp. yellow cornmeal
- 1 1/2 teaspoon baking pwdr
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 c. lowfat milk
- 1/4 c. veg. oil
- 1 sm. onion, minced
- 3/4 pound grnd beef
- 16 ounce. refried beans
- 1 c. salsa
- 8 ounce. shredded Cheddar cheese
- 1 c. shredded lettuce
- 1 tomato, minced
- Lowfat sour cream, optional
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
- Lightly grease 12 inch pizza pan.
- Sprinkle with 1 Tbsp.
- cornmeal.
- Combine flour, 2 Tbsp.
- cornmeal, baking pwdr and salt.
- Add in lowfat milk and oil; stir till dough clings and forms a ball.
- Turn onto lightly floured surface, knead 5 times.
- Roll dough into a 12 inch circle.
- Place on pan, bake 4-5 min.
- Remove from oven and set aside.
- Brown grnd beef with onion, drain well.
- Spoon refried beans on crust, spoon grnd beef and onion over beans.
- Spoon salsa on top.
- Sprinkle with cheese.
- Bake 8 min.
- Top with lettuce, tomato, lowfat sour cream.
