Creamy Orange Tea Ring Recipe
- 2 c. flour
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 teaspoon baking pwdr
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 c. butter
- 1/2 c. lowfat milk
- 8 ounce. cream cheese
- 1/2 c. raisins
- 1/4 c. minced nuts
- 1 tbsp. grated orange rind
- Combine flour, 1/4 c. sugar, baking pwdr and salt.
- Cut in butter till mix is coarse crumbs.
- Stir in lowfat milk, mixing just till moist.
- On lightly floured board, knead 5 times.
- Roll dough into 18x12 inch rectangle.
- Spread with softened cream cheese.
- Sprinkle with remaining sugar, raisins, nuts and rind.
- Roll up and seal well.
- Place seam side down.
- Cut edges at 1 inch intervals.
- Bake at 375 degrees, 25 to 30 min.
- When baked, drizzle with the icing.
