Apple Butter Scones Recipe
- 2 1/2 c. All-purpose flour
- 1/4 c. Sugar
- 2 tsp Baking pwdr
- 1 tsp Baking soda
- 1/4 c. Butter or possibly margarine
- 1/2 c. Raisins
- 1 c. Apple butter
- 1 x Egg, slightly beaten Vegetable cooking spray Additional apple butter, for accompaniment
- Preheat oven to 425 F. In a large bowl combine flour, sugar, baking pwdr and baking soda.
- Cut in butter or possibly margarine with pastry cutter or possibly fork till mix resembles coarse crumbs.
- Add in raisins.
- In a separate bowl combine apple butter and egg.
- Add in flour mix, stirring just till dry ingredients are moistened.
- Spray 2 1/2 inch muffin tins with vegetable cooking spray.
- Fill almost full with batter.
- Bake at 425 F for 14 to 16 min or possibly till lightly browned.
- Cold slightly.
- Serve hot with additional apple butter.
