Lots O'Apple Cake
- 1 1/3 c. Pillsbury's Best all-purpose or unbleached flour
- 1 c. Pillsbury Best whole wheat flour
- 1 1/4 c. sugar
- 2 tsp. soda
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 5 c. (5 medium) thinly sliced, peeled apples
- 1/2 c. oil
- 1/4 c. honey
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 c. chopped nuts
- Heat oven to 350u0b0.
- Grease and flour bottom only of 13 x 9-inch pan.
- Lightly spoon flour into measuring cup; level off. In a large bowl, combine all ingredients except nuts; beat at low speed until moistened.
- Beat for 2 minutes at medium speed.
- Stir in nuts.
- Spread in prepared pan.
- Bake at 350u0b0 for 40 to 50 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
- Serve warm or cool with whipped cream or ice cream, if desired.
- Makes 12 servings.
