Balsamic Glazed Onion Crostini

  1. Melt butter in 12-inch nonstick skillet over medium-high heat until sizzling.
  2. Stir in onions, salt and pepper; continue cooking, stirring occasionally, 5 minutes or until onions begin to soften.
  3. Stir in sugar; cook, stirring occasionally and scraping brown bits off bottom of pan, 20-25 minutes or until onions are golden brown.
  4. (Reduce heat, if necessary, to keep from burning.)
  5. Stir in parsley; place onion mixture into bowl.
  6. Heat oven to 400 degrees F.
  7. Place bread slices onto baking sheet.
  8. Divide onion mixture evenly among bread slices.
  9. Top each with blue cheese.
  10. Bake 5-7 minutes or until bread is toasted and cheese is melted.
  11. Place onto serving platter; drizzle with balsamic glaze.
  12. Serve immediately.
