  1. Roast the turkey without adding any spices or basting.
  2. Cool, de-skin and de-bone (this is the messiest part).
  3. While you do this, microwave the rice, white or brown.
  4. Put the turkey meat in a food grinder or cuisinart.
  5. Mix the meat and rice and wheat germ together while you microwave the vegetables.
  6. Add the vegetables.
  7. Expect a happy running around dog while you do this!
  8. Now put it by handfuls into the snack size baggies, each is about 5 ounces, 7 to a freezer bag.
  9. Freeze 3 bags of 7, keep one out for this week.
  10. My dog is fairly small, so if you have a bigger dog, use sandwich bags-then of course it won't be quite so many servings.
  11. I also had good luck with using ground turkey, 3-5 lbs, fried in a fry pan, and also used a large frozen breast that I baked, so there were no bones, skin or carcass to contend with, but still had to mess with the cuisinart to grind the breast.
  12. Turkey is completely safe for dogs as long as it is cooked well and has no skin,.
