Easy Sesame Chicken Bites
- 1/4 cup soy sauce, tamari
- 2 tablespoons ginger fresh, grated
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 1 pound chicken breast halves, boneless, skinless cut into 2 inch pieces
- 1/4 cup hoisin sauce
- 1/4 cup sesame seeds
- 1/4 cup scallions, spring or green onions finely chopped for garnish
- Preheat the oven to 400F (200C).
- Adjust oven rack to upper position.
- Grate the ginger using a micro-plane grater for best results.
- In a bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, ginger and garlic.
- Add the chicken, toss to coat, cover and refrigerate for 20 minutes.
- Drain and discard the marinade.
- Skewer the chicken cubes onto wooden skewers.
- Coat chicken with Hoisin sauce and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
- Place on a broiling pan or baking sheet lined with aluminum foil for easy cleanup and bake until the chicken is cooked, about 15 to 20 minutes.
- Just before serving sprinkle with scallions.
