Pennie's Health Bread
- 1 12 cups water
- 13 cup instant milk
- 1 tablespoon shortening
- 1 tablespoon flax seed
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 2 tablespoons oat bran
- 2 tablespoons wheat germ
- 13 cup honey
- 14 cup vital wheat gluten
- 3 cups whole wheat flour
- 2 teaspoons active dry yeast
- 1 teaspoon white sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- Mix yeast, sugar and 1/4 cup of the water.
- Let sit til bubbly.
- Add wet ingredients, then dry ingredients.
- Knead for 15 minutes.
- Let rise for about 2 hours.
- Punch down and form into a loaf.
- Let rise 1 hour or until doubled.
- Bake at 375F for 35 minutes.
