Turnip Souffle Recipe
- 10 sm. turnips
- 2 carrots
- 1 egg
- 2 tbsp. lowfat milk
- 1 tbsp. butter
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon bacon drippings, optional
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Bread crumbs
- Boil turnips and carrots together till tender.
- Mash and add in other ingredients.
- Place in greased casserole; top with bread crumbs.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 30 min.
- (Beat egg and mix with lowfat milk before adding to turnips and carrots.)
- Serves 6.
