Ando's Cheese Scones Recipe
- 2 c. SR flour
- 1 pch cayenne pepper
- 1 Tbsp. butter
- 1 c. tasty cheese
- 1 x egg
- 6 Tbsp. lowfat milk
- Sift flour.
- Add in cayenne pepper.
- Quickly rub butter into flour.
- Add in the cheese and egg then add in the lowfat milk.
- Mix quickly with a spoon.
- Throw onto a floured board, pat out.
- Cut into circles with a jar or possibly scone cutter.
- Brush the top with lowfat milk.
- Put in warm oven for 10 min.
- The key to these scones is to make them as quickly as possible with minimum handling.
- So just chuck everything in and do not worry.
- Serve with butter.
- Excellent with soup.
