Butterscotch Brownies (Blonde Brownies) Recipe
- 1 c. Sifted flour
- 1/2 tsp Baking pwdr
- 1/8 tsp Baking soda
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1/2 c. Minced nuts (i recommend walnuts)
- 1/3 c. Butter or possibly margarine
- 1 c. Brown sugar
- 1 x Egg, slightly beaten
- 1 tsp Vanilla
- 1/2 c. Chocolate bits
- We called them Blonde Brownies and I think there even better than the chocolate ones!
- Combine first five ingredients and set aside.
- Heat butter in saucepan, add in brown sugar, mix well.
- Cold slightly.
- Add in beaten egg and vanilla, blend.
- Add in flour mix slowly, beating with each addition.
- Spread in greased 9x9 inch pan.
- Sprinkle chocolate bits on top.
- Bake at 350 for 20 to 25 min.
- Don't overcook.
- Cold in pan.
- Cut into bars.
