Chicken with Plums (Morgh Aloo)
- 2 pounds Chicken Breasts And Thighs
- 7 ounces, weight Sun Dried Plums
- 3/4 cups Water
- 1 whole Onion Cut Up
- 1/2 cups Sugar
- 3-58 ounces, weight Butter
- Salt And Pepper
- 2 cloves Garlic, Optional
- Soak the plums in 3/4 cup water for half an hour.
- Place chicken in a pan, cut up butter and add it with onion, soaked plums, salt, pepper, sugar and garlic to the pan.
- Pour enough water over them to cover everything.
- Bring to boil then reduce heat and simmer covered for 1 hour till chicken is tender and juices are reduced to 1 cup.
- Then, flip the chicken joints and simmer uncovered till they are golden.
- Serve with cooked plain rice or French Fries.
