poppyseed french bread
- 1 loaf french bread, unbaked (either homemade or storebought, like from from the frozen section or Pillsbury)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp poppy seeds
- 2 tbsp kosher salt
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp basil
- 1/2 tsp oregano
- Preheat oven as required.
- Spray cookie sheet with non stick cooking spray.
- Place loaf on cookie sheet and cut 4 diagonal slices about 3/4" deep.
- Drizzle 1 tablespoon of olive oil on bread and spread evenly with pastry brush.
- Mix seasonings and sprinkle 1 teaspoon over bread.
- Bake as required.
- During last 7 minutes of baking, drizzle with remaining tablespoon olive oil.
