Bean Pot Baked Lentils Recipe
- 1 c. lentils
- 2-1/2 c. water
- 1/2 c. minced onion
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 tbsp. brown sugar
- 2 tbsp. catsup
- 2 tbsp. molasses
- 1/4 c. vegetable oil
- Rinse lentils, drain, combine in saucepan: lentils, water, onion, and salt.
- Bring to boil.
- cover and simmer 45 min.
- Stir in brown sugar, catsup, molasses, and oil.
- Turn into 1-qt bean pot or possibly casserole dish.
- Bake uncovered at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 1-1/4 hrs.
