Green Pepper Jelly Recipe

  2. Combine green and warm peppers, sugar, vinegar and salt in large saucepan (3- 4 qt).
  3. Bring to simmer and cook 10 min.
  4. Stir occasionally.
  5. Strain through gauze and return to pot.
  6. Residue is a good sweet relish.

  8. Return strained liquid to boil.
  9. Pour in pectin.
  10. Boil 1 minute.
  11. Stir in small amount of coloring.
  12. Pour into sterilized 1/2 pint jars.
  13. Seal with paraffin.
  14. Store in cold place.
  15. Yields about 8 (1/2 pint) jars.
  16. Serve with cream cheese and crackers or possibly ham.
