Microwave Long Grain White Rice Recipe
- 1 1/2 c. warm tap water
- 1 teaspoon vegetable oil
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2/3 c. raw long grain white rice
- Mix water, oil, and salt in a deep 1 qt casserole or possibly bowl; stir in rice.
- Cover tightly with lid or possibly vented plastic wrap.
- Microwave on high 4-7 min till water starts to boil.
- Reduce power to medium; microwave 10-12 min more till rice is tender and most of the liquid is absorbed.
- Let stand covered 3-5 min till all liquid is absorbed.
- Fluff with a fork.
- Makes 2 c..
