Salted and Sweetened Shiitake Mushrooms

  1. Cut off the stem of the shiitake mushrooms and cut into bite size pieces.
  2. Put water and the seasoning ingredients in a pot and let it boil.
  3. Then, add the shiitake mushrooms, cover with a drop lid, and cook it for about 10 minutes on low heat.
  4. Stir the pot sometimes.
  5. Take off the drop lid when the liquid boils down and remove from the heat when the liquid has almost gone.
  6. When it has cooled down a little, it is done.
  7. You can keep it in the fridge for about 3 days so make some and keep it for bento lunch box.
  8. It will be an extra dish for dinner if you keep some in the fridge.
