Rolls

  1. Mix
  2. milk,
  3. shortening and sugar.
  4. Place on stove.
  5. Let it get
  6. warm enough to melt shortening, but do not boil.
  7. Set aside to cool to lukewarm.
  8. Dissolve yeast in small amount of mixture. Pour
  9. back into mixture.
  10. Add enough flour to make a thicktaste. Cover
  11. and
  12. set
  13. aside
  14. to rise about double in size.
  15. Now
  16. mix salt,
  17. soda
  18. and
  19. baking
  20. powder with a small amount of remaining flour.
  21. Add to dough.
  22. Finish adding flour to
  23. make a stiff dough (like biscuit dough).
  24. Cover and put in refrigerator
  25. until
  26. ready to
  27. use.
  28. Knead
  29. dough
  30. on floured board.tut with biscuit cutter and fold.
  31. Place melted butter in fold.
  32. Bake at 400u0b0 until light brown, about 15 minutes.
