Meringue Surprises

  1. Preheat oven to 300F.
  2. Combine the egg whites, vanilla, and salt and beat till stiff but not dry.
  3. Beat in the sugar gradually till stiff and satiny.
  4. Fold in the chocolate and drop by teaspoonfuls on greased cookie sheet.
  5. Bake at 300 F for 30 minutes.
