Poached Apple -Tufahia
- 6 cooking apples
- 2 cups finely chopped walnuts
- 1/2 cup sultanas or raisins
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 2 cups water
- 1 cup heavy cream, whipped

- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
- Peel and core the apples.
- Mix the walnuts and sultanas in a small bowl.
- Arrange the apples on a baking dish, and fill the cavities with the walnut mixture.
- Dissolve the sugar in the water in a small bowl and pour it over the apples.
- Bake until the apples are soft but not soggy, about 15 to 20 minutes.
- Remove the apples from the oven and arrange them on serving plates.
- Serve at room temperature or cold garnished with whipped cream.
