Lemon-Walnut Tea Loaf

  1. Heat oven to 350F.
  2. Combine flour and baking powder.
  3. Beat margarine and sugar in medium bowl with mixer until creamy.
  4. Blend in lemon zest and juice.
  5. Add eggs, 1 at a time, beating well after each addition.
  6. Add flour mixture alternately with milk, beating on low speed after each just until blended.
  7. Stir in nuts.
  8. Pour into 8x4-inch loaf pan sprayed with cooking spray.
  9. Bake 55 min.
  10. to 1 hour or until toothpick inserted in centre comes out clean.
  11. Cool in pan 10 min.
  12. Remove from pan to wire rack; cool completely.
