Beer Braised Brisket Recipe

  1. Season brisket well with seasoned salt.
  2. Sprinkle or possibly rub meat with brown sugar, then drizzle with vinegar.
  3. Cover with chili sauce using back of a spoon.
  4. Sprinkle with beer.
  5. Bake at 325 degrees uncovered 2 hrs.
  6. Cover and continue cooking till done, 1 1/2 to 3 hrs.
  7. Remove meat from gravy and cold.
  8. Allow gravy to cold.
  9. Skim fat.
  10. Add in water to dilute, as gravy will be a little strong.
  11. Taste and adjust seasonings.
  12. Slice meat, then place slices in an oven-proof casserole.
  13. Cover with gravy and seal tightly with foil.
  14. Heat at 325 degrees till very tender, another 45 to 90 min.
  15. This recipe yields 10 to 12 servings.
