Buffalo Bread
- 1 cup shredded dates
- 34 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 cup boiling water
- 1 egg, beaten
- 12 cup maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup whole wheat flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 12 cup chopped nuts
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- Mix together the dates, baking soda, and boiling water.
- Add the egg and syrup and mix well.
- Beat in remaining ingredients.
- Pour into a greased 9x5-inch bread pan and bake for one hour or until done.
- Cool.
