Molasses Ginger Cookies Recipe
- 1 c. shortening
- 1 3/4 c. sugar
- 3 sm. Large eggs
- 2/3 c. molasses
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 4 1/2 c. flour
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon ginger
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 teaspoon baking pwdr
- Cream shortening and sugar.
- Add in Large eggs.
- Mix well.
- Add in molasses and vanilla.
- In a large bowl combine flour, cinnamon, ginger, baking soda and baking pwdr.
- Add in dry ingredients to creamed mix slowly.
- Divide batter.
- Make into rolls, wrap in waxed paper and chill.
- Slice and bake at 375 degrees for 8 min or possibly make small balls of dough flatten with sugared glass and bake.
- May be dropped off tsp.
