Fast Fried Chicken White Gravy Recipe
- 4 c. whole lowfat milk
- 1 c. cream
- 1/2 c. butter
- 1/4 c. flour
- 1/8 c. diced chives
- 1/4 c. finely minced onion
- 1 Tbsp. salt (to taste)
- 1 Tbsp. pepper
- 3 minced cloves of garlic
- a healthy pinch of sage
- In a large saucepan cook onions, chives, and garlic in the butter till onions are translucent/soft.
- Don't BURN BUTTER.
- Add in flour; stir for about a minute.
- Quickly whisk in lowfat milk and cream.
- Add in salt and pepper to taste.
- Whisk gravy constantly till it becomes thick and creamy.
- Great with fried chicken, potatoes, pot pie fillings, and many others!
