Turkey Joes on Pita Bread
- 2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
- 1 clove Garlic, Minced
- 2 Tablespoons Tomato Paste
- 1 Tablespoon Italian Seasoning
- 1 Tablespoon Chili Powder
- 1 Tablespoon Onion Powder
- 1- 1/2 pound Ground Turkey (Raw)
- 1/2 cups Tomato Sauce
- 6 loaves Pita Bread
- Turn stove top to medium heat.
- In a skillet, add olive oil, minced garlic, and tomato paste.
- Add the Italian seasoning, chili powder and onion powder, allowing to brown for a few minutes.
- Add the raw ground turkey and mix well with the seasonings and cover (the cover is optional).
- Simmer for 25 minutes.
- Remove from heat and let cool for 15 minutes, letting the flavors develop further.
- I love serving these on soft pita bread or making lettuce wraps with the Turkey Joes.
- Its super tasty.
