My Childhood Gingersnaps

  1. Cream together shortening, brown sugar and eggs.
  2. Add molasses and mix thoroughly.
  3. Sift dry ingredients together and add to creamed mixture mixing well.
  4. Chill thoroughly at least two hours or overnight.
  5. Shape into one inch balls, roll in granulated sugar.
  6. Place on greased cookie sheet 2 inches apart.
  7. Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 12-15 minutes.
