Seven Layer Salad Recipe
- 1 med. head iceberg lettuce, shredded
- 1 lg.
- Bermuda onion 1 pt.
- mayonnaise 1 teaspoon jalapeno, seeded & diced 10-12 ounce.
- frzn peas 8 strips lean bacon crisply fried Cheddar cheese, grated 2 tbsp.
- Parmesan cheese 1 (6 ounce.)
- can sliced water chestnuts
- Line salad bowl with shredded lettuce.
- Arrange liquid removed, uncooked peas over lettuce.
- Crumble bacon over peas.
- Mince onion and layer over bacon.
- layer water chestnuts over onion.
- Mix Parmesan cheese with mayonnaise and spread carefully over entire dish.
- Sprinkle generously with cheese.
- Chill 12-24 hrs before serving.
