Country Fair Corn Sticks

  1. Preheat oven to 400u0b0.
  2. Grease well 14 corn stick molds.
  3. Place in oven while preparing batter.
  4. In large bowl, mix corn meal, flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.
  5. In small skillet, add oil and cook pepper and onions until tender.
  6. Remove skillet from heat.
  7. Stir in corn and milk, then egg until mixed; stir into dry ingredients until batter is just blended.
  8. Spoon batter into preheated molds.
  9. Bake 15 minutes or until done.
  10. Cool in molds on wire rack 5 minutes.
  11. Remove from molds.
