Strawberry-Ricotta Bruschetta

  1. In large bowl, stir brown sugar, vinegar, and vanilla until sugar dissolves.
  2. Stir in sliced strawberries.
  3. Let stand 1 hour.
  4. Toast bread until golden brown.
  5. Cool completely.
  6. Spread 2 tablespoons ricotta on each bread slice.
  7. Alternate strawberries and basil leaves in a single layer, overlapping slices.
  8. Drizzle strawberry juices over top and serve.
