Apple Slow-Down Brown Betty

  1. Place the apples in a lightly greased medium slow cooker.
  2. In a large bowl gently toss together the bread crumbs, butter, white sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  3. Evenly spread over the apple slices.
  4. Cover and cook on LOW for 3-4 hours.
  5. Uncover and let stand for 15 minutes before serving warm with scoops of vanilla ice cream.
