Turkey Burgers
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 lb extra lean ground turkey
- 6 medium shallots (minced)
- 1/2 cup Italian seasoned breadcrumbs
- 3/4 cup less sodium soy sauce
- 1 tbsp fresh cracked black pepper
- 1 packages sandwich or burger buns
- 2 tbsp sriracha or other hot sauce
- In a large mixing bowl, combine shallots and soy sauce.
- Let sit for 5 minutes.
- Meanwhile, add olive oil to the pan and heat over medium flame.
- Add the rest of the ingredients, except buns of course, and mix until just combined.
- Do not overmix.
- Form about 4 or 5 patties, and add to the skillet once oil is very hot.
- Cook for about 6 minutes each side, flipping once.
- If cheese is desired, add one minute before cooking is complete and cover for one minute.
- Serve on buns and enjoy!
