Italian Pan Biscuit
- 1 34 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 12 teaspoons baking powder
- 12 teaspoon salt
- 13 cup sweet creamy butter
- 34 cup milk
- 13 cup sweet creamy butter, melted
- 18 teaspoon dried oregano
- 18 teaspoon dried marjoram
- 18 teaspoon dried basil
- 116 teaspoon rubbed sage
- Heat oven to 450 degrees.
- In a large bowl, combine flour, baking powder and salt.
- Cut in butter until crumbly.
- Add milk; stir just until moistened.
- Turn dough onto lightly floured surface; knead 10 times.
- Pat dough into 9" round shape.
- In a small bowl stir together melted butter and seasonings.
- Pour 1/2 butter mixture into 9" round cake pan.
- Place dough in pan; pour remaining butter mixture over dough.
- Bake for 20 to 30 minutes or until light golden brown.
- Remove from pan; cut into 12 wedges.
- Serve warm.
